The UK does not support online PIN at POS; therefore, it should not be possible to 'tap & PIN' in the UK, irrespective of where your card was issued. Do you have examples of where this is possible?
OTOH, it may be possible to use a UK card to 'tap & PIN' outside the UK, in markets which do support online PIN at POS (US, Australia, NL, etc.) This will depend on whether the card supports online PIN as a contactless CVM.
